Why I built this

My dad spent his life in other people's corners. He coached — every sport, all of his sons, me included — and even started coaching girls' volleyball at the school where my mom taught. Thirty-six years delivering for Nabisco without ever calling in sick or showing up late. No alcohol, no caffeine, a workout every single day. One of the most genuine, disciplined men I know.

A few years after he retired, he got Parkinson's.

He was always the coach. I wanted him to finally have one — something in his corner every day, built around his body and his pace. That's Take the Stairs. I built it for him; it's now for anyone moving through something of their own — Parkinson's, wheelchair users, recovery, seniors, and everyday life.
